AI firms sign a voluntary White House pledge to police themselves
Leaders of Anthropic, Google, Meta, OpenAI, Nvidia and xAI signed a voluntary accord at the White House. Firms commit to strong internal controls, an independent outside auditor to check them, and a board committee that reviews the audit reports. It also leaves room for the steps to become law later. President Trump called it morally binding. It has no legal force.
