UK pilots AI bootcamps to get young people into work
A taxpayer-funded pilot in Preston gives 70 young people aged 16 to 24, who are not in education, employment or training or at risk of it, a three-week course in building AI tools and how businesses use AI. Partners including JD Sports, Heinz and Agilysys then offer apprenticeships in AI marketing or IT helpdesk roles.
